After the Galaxy Watch 7 and Watch 8 series, Samsung is widely rolling out the November 2025 update for the Watch Ultra lineup. Both the 2024 and 2025 models are now receiving the new update in several global markets. It brings stability enhancements alongside the latest security fixes.

Galaxy Watch Ultra’s November update goes global

After an initial release in South Korea last week, Samsung has kicked off a global rollout of the November update for the Galaxy Watch Ultra. The update is live in several markets, including Europe and India, with more expected shortly. The new firmware build version is BYK1 for both models. The OTA package weighs just under 180MB, though the exact size may vary depending on the model and region.

The official changelog confirms that the update doesn’t bring any new features or functional upgrades. It focuses on system stability, reliability, and security, ensuring the smooth functioning of existing features. Additionally, the update contains a bootloader change, so downgrading to a previous version is not possible once the update is installed.

To install this update on your Galaxy Watch Ultra, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your paired smartphone and go to Watch settings. Now, tap Watch software update and select Download and install. You can also perform the same steps directly on the watch by navigating through the Settings menu. If the update has reached your region, your device will begin downloading the firmware automatically.

These watches run Samsung’s Wear OS 6-based One UI 8 Watch. The company has also updated the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 5 series to the new version, though the update may not be available globally. The Galaxy Watch 4 series and Watch FE are expected to receive it later this month or in early 2026. We will let you know when the rollout begins.
