UPDATE: Shortly after a report hinted at a massive price hike for the Galaxy Tab S10 series, noted leaker Roland Quandt came forward with contradicting information. He says the Plus model’s 256GB variant will cost $999 and the 512GB variant will cost $1,199. These prices are the same as the Tab S9+. If true, Samsung might keep the prices unchanged for both models. The original article follows…
ORIGINAL ARTICLE: It looks like Samsung is turning up the heat with the upcoming Galaxy Tab S10 series, but not just in terms of features! According to a recent leak, the company is increasing the prices of its next-gen flagship tablets, at least in some markets. We are staring at a massive price hike. The devices may go official in October.
Leaked Galaxy Tab S10 prices how a massive hike
A tipster recently obtained the complete pricing structure for the Galaxy Tab S10+ and Tab S10 Ultra in Switzerland. The exclusive information shared with Svztechinfo details the Swiss prices for all storage variants of both Wi-Fi and cellular (5G) versions of the tablets. And the prices are substantially higher than what Samsung charged for the Galaxy Tab S9 series in the country.
According to the report, the Galaxy Tab S10+ (Wi-Fi) will cost 1,179 Swiss Francs for the base variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage. The Ultra model with the same configuration is said to cost 1,399 Francs. If true, we are looking at a price hike of up to 170 Francs (approx. $200) for the base variant — the Tab S9+ started at 1,029 Francs and the Tab S9 Ultra at 1,229 Francs.
Of course, the US prices have always been comparatively lower. The Galaxy Tab S9+ started at $999 and the Ultra at $1,199. This converts to 845 Francs and 1,015 Francs respectively, significantly less than the official Swiss prices. But if Samsung is increasing the prices in Switzerland by a big margin, the new tablets are likely to cost more in other markets too. You can see the complete pricing structure below.
Samsung may ship the new tablets with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ chipset globally. The Plus model gets 12GB RAM with 256GB and 512GB storage options, while the Ultra has a 16GB+1TB variant. There is no base Galaxy Tab S10 this year. Both models come in Grey and Silver colors and ship with Android 14. They may not bring many hardware upgrades. Stay tuned for the official launch.
