Even though some reports suggested that Samsung would not delay the Galaxy S26 series launch event, several reputable tipsters now suggest otherwise. According to Ice Universe and Setsuna Digital, the Galaxy S26 series will not go on sale before March. This means Galaxy Unpacked could take place in February, likely in the middle of the month.

Galaxy S26 series will be announced in February, with retail availability in March

Setsuna Digital claims that the Galaxy S26 series will not reach consumers during the Chinese New Year period. If this rumor holds weight, Samsung could miss out on the seasonal sales boost that typically begins in February. For context, Chinese New Year 2026 runs from February 17 to March 3.

So far, rumors suggest that Samsung will launch three phones in the Galaxy S26 lineup. These will be the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra. The first two are expected to feature the Exynos 2600 processor in select markets, while the top-tier Galaxy S26 Ultra will reportedly use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 worldwide.

Beyond potential hardware upgrades, Samsung is also rumored to finally introduce built-in magnets across the Galaxy S26 series. This would allow the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra to support Qi2 magnetic charging without requiring additional accessories. Additionally, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is said to support up to 60W wired charging and 25W wireless charging.
