A week into launch, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series is off to a strong start, with the Ultra model leading the charge. Early pre-order data shows that the Galaxy S25 Ultra accounted for nearly two-thirds of total sales in South Korea. It is also expected to be the most popular model in other regions.
Galaxy S25 Ultra is in huge demand, and we aren’t surprised
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is a powerhouse packed with significant upgrades over its predecessor. Beyond the expected improvements in processor, camera, display, and build quality, it also brings several subtle yet impactful enhancements. With faster fingerprint recognition, improved touch response, better speakers, and smoother animations, Samsung’s latest flagship delivers a noticeably refined user experience.
Unsurprisingly, fans are going crazy for it. According to the Korean media, the Galaxy S25 Ultra has so far accounted for 60-70% of total Galaxy S25 pre-orders in the country. The report doesn’t break down the share of the other two models, but history suggests the base model will outsell the Plus. This has been the trend for the past several years.
That said, the Galaxy S25+ offers many notable upgrades over the S25, more than in the past. Unless you really want a small phone, you might be better off with the Plus this year. The Ultra is obviously the best pick, but it’s also a massive phone with added cost. Speaking of which, Samsung has kept the prices unchanged in most markets this year, helping drive sales.
The report adds that the Titanium Black and Titanium WhiteSilver are the top two color picks from Galaxy S25 Ultra buyers. Most Galaxy S25 and S25+ customers chose Icy Blue and Silver Shadow options. All three models come in seven colors each, with three sold exclusively through Samsung’s official website. If you consider pre-ordering the phones, our Galaxy S25 Mystery Box is still live.
