If leaks are accurate, Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series is less than two months away. The company is rumored to drop the new flagships on January 22, 2025. Ahead of that, leaks are building up, revealing exciting details in bits and pieces. Newly leaked photos of a Galaxy S25 Ultra dummy unit give us a fresh look at the device.

Leaked Galaxy S25 Ultra dummy unit reveals design details

Photos circulating on X show the Galaxy S25 Ultra up close, including its bottom edge. As suggested by earlier leaks, Samsung has moved the S Pen silo closer to the bottom left corner. The speaker grille is still a long rectangular cutout like a coin slot instead of multiple tiny holes. The latter design looks more premium to my eyes, but Samsung’s design team must have its reasons to go with the former.

The image above doesn’t show a SIM tray at the bottom where we also see the USB-C port and a microphone hole. This is likely because the dummy unit lacked those details rather than Samsung moving the SIM tray somewhere else. The Galaxy S25 Ultra’s left edge is blank with no holes, ports, or buttons, while the right side houses the power and volume buttons. The top edge should include a second microphone.

This isn’t the first time we have seen a Galaxy S25 Ultra dummy in leaked photos, and likely won’t be the last. Over the next couple of months, we expect tons of leaks about Samsung’s upcoming flagships. At some point, we should start seeing the real thing too. The Galaxy S25 and S25+ have more rounded corners than the Ultra.
