Galaxy S25 Tipped to Receive Massive May Update with Camera and UI Upgrades

Samsung rolled out a relatively large update to the Galaxy S25 series this month. The April update for the latest flagships weighed over 700MB (varies depending on the model) and contained One UI 7 enhancements. The company may be planning an even bigger update for the next month. According to a fresh leak, the May 2025 update for the Galaxy S25 series will weigh in at around 1.4GB and bring several notable changes.

Samsung might be preparing a huge May update for the Galaxy S25 lineup

Galaxy S25 users have something exciting to look forward to, X user @Alfaturk16 claims. According to them, Samsung is preparing the AYDB update for the lineup with an OTA size of around 1.4GB, and it contains several goodies. Most notably, the update is tipped to bring camera enhancements, likely improving the photo quality and introducing smoother video recording.

While the Galaxy S25 series, particularly the Ultra model, already has impressive camera hardware, there is room for improvement. Samsung must have identified some areas where it could do better with software enhancements. It plans to roll out version 15.0.02.42 of the camera app. These kinds of software tweaks often help fine-tune things like color accuracy, detail, and low-light performance.

The May 2025 update for the Galaxy S25 series allegedly also contains bug fixes and stability improvements to the user interface, making daily use feel smoother. Additionally, Samsung is said to be rolling out a new version (16.0.05.59) of the One UI Home launcher. This could mean small visual tweaks, animation upgrades, and performance boosts across the board.

Samsung should soon start rolling out this update to the latest flagships. It has already kicked off the May 2025 security update rollout, with the Galaxy A55 getting it with the third One UI 7 beta update. We will let you know once the update hits the Galaxy S25 series.
