Over a month before the Galaxy S25 series launch event, an APK teardown revealed that the upcoming phones would offer a free Gemini Advanced subscription. As expected, the Galaxy S25 series does indeed come with six months of free Gemini Advanced access. Now, the folks at Android Authority are back, spotting the same Gemini subscription traces for the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge.
Galaxy S25 Edge may offer free Gemini Advanced subscription, too
Android Authority’s AssembleDebug found Gemini Advanced references to the upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge while digging through Google beta v16.9.39.sa.arm64. As shared, one of the strings read SAMSUNG_S25_EDGE
. This is the Galaxy S25 variant that could launch sometime in mid-April. It’s expected to be just 5.84mm thick with a 6.65-inch screen on the front. Recent reports suggest it may be priced higher than the Galaxy S25+, but lower than the S25 Ultra.
Gemini Advanced packs a bundle of AI tools, Google Photos and Drive integration, and early access to new AI models. The plan also includes 2TB of Google storage, priority support, 10% cash back on Google Store purchases, and other Google One Premium perks. While up to five family members could share the storage and benefits, only the main account holder can access Gemini Advanced.
That said, the strings don’t clarify whether the Galaxy S25 Edge will offer six months or a full year of free Gemini Advanced access. With the Galaxy S25 series, Samsung offers six months of free Gemini Advanced. Given this, it’s likely that the Galaxy S25 Edge will also offer the same six-month bundle. With the release of the Galaxy S25 Edge fast approaching, we may hear the full details soon.
