Samsung’s One UI 8.5 update is now also available for the Galaxy S23 FE in global markets. The Fan Edition model joins the S23 flagships and many other devices in the rollout. The company will soon release One UI 8.5 for more Galaxy smartphones and tablets worldwide.

One UI 8.5 rolls out for the Galaxy S23 FE globally

Earlier this week, Samsung released One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S23, S23+, S23 Ultra, and S23 FE in Korea. The former three recently picked up the update in additional markets, including Europe and India. The S23 FE has also now joined the party.

First reported by Tarun Vats on X, One UI 8.5 for the Galaxy S23 FE carries firmware version GZDP in India. The update is initially rolling out for beta users, but non-beta users may get it anytime now. Moreover, the rollout should expand to additional markets soon, including the US, though the build number may vary in some regions.

With One UI 8.5, Samsung is focusing on refining the Galaxy experience it set to build a couple of years ago. The update brings smoother animations, faster app transitions, and a cleaner overall visual style across the system. Privacy upgrades and improved multitasking are also key additions in this update.

Moreover, One UI 8.5 introduces new AI features and improves many existing AI tools, including Audio Eraser and Photo Assist. There are camera upgrades as well. The Galaxy S23 FE may not get everything found on the S26 series, but users have a lot to look forward to in this update.

Interestingly, this release doesn’t bring a new security patch to the device. The Galaxy S23 FE remains on the April patch, so Samsung may soon follow up with another update introducing the May security fixes. To check for new updates on your Galaxy phone, go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.
