Galaxy Enhance-X update improves your editing experience
The latest update for Galaxy Enhance-X weighs over 65MB on the Galaxy S24 Ultra — the update size may vary depending on the device model as some devices do not support all features. The official changelog mentions a new feature called Motion Clipper, Camera shift enhancements, landscape mode for tablets, and support for basic DeX models.
Motion Clipper lets you create GIFs from your motion photos. If your Galaxy phone can capture motion photos, you can convert those photos to GIFs through Galaxy Enhance-X. The new tool automatically detects moving subjects in a motion photo and creates GIFs. You can customize the size and frame rate for the GIF file, save it, and share it directly from the app.
Camera shift is an existing Galaxy Enhance-X feature that lets you virtually adjust the camera height for a photo. It lowers the height for longer legs and a smaller head or shifts it in the other direction for a longer torso. With the latest update, the app supports Camera shift for all human and pet images. If you use a Galaxy tablet, these features can be used in landscape mode.
Additionally, Samsung says Galaxy Enhance-X now supports “basic DeX models”. It likely means you can use the app in DeX mode. The update started rolling out to Galaxy users on Monday and isn’t available widely yet. We checked two devices logged in with the same Samsung account and only one showed an update. However, a global rollout should be just around the corner. You can check for updates on the Galaxy Store.
