Galaxy Enhance-X App is a Mess After One UI 8.5 Update, Samsung Prepares a Fix

Samsung’s Galaxy Enhance-X app has been facing some weird issues lately, especially after a major update last month. The app first entered an update loop, which Samsung has yet to fix. Now, after the stable release of One UI 8.5, some features have gone missing. In fact, the app itself is missing from the Galaxy Store. The good news is that Samsung expects to fix these issues soon.
One UI 8.5 causes various issues with Galaxy Enhance-X
Last month, Samsung rolled out a major update for Galaxy Enhance-X, transforming it into a full-fledged photo editing app. The new version is working smoothly on the Galaxy S26 series, but older devices have run into a problem. When opening the app, it demands an update, and even lets you quickly jump to the Galaxy Store to install the new version. Sadly, there’s no update available there.
This issue started surfacing before Samsung released the stable One UI 8.5 update. It remains unpatched on the stable build. Meanwhile, users who updated their Galaxy devices noticed that some features are also missing now. One UI 8.5 appears to have removed features like Filter Styles and Glow plugins from Galaxy Enhance-X, at least on some models.
And if you thought reinstalling the app could help, there’s a bigger issue. The app itself is no longer available on the Galaxy Store. When you open the app and hit the “Update” prompt, which started appearing since Galaxy Enhance-X entered an update loop, you land on its Galaxy Store listing. However, if you manually search for the app, it doesn’t show up in the results.
This means if you uninstall the app, you can’t simply install it again from the Galaxy Store. Thankfully, Samsung is aware of it all, and its developers are already working on a fix. An update may roll out within this week to address the issues. Until then, users may want to avoid uninstalling Galaxy Enhance-X from their devices.
