Elon Musk, who is in charge of the Trump Administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (in short, DOGE), has installed a Samsung Odyssey gaming monitor at his White House office. While it’s unclear whether Musk uses the monitor for gaming or other purposes, it’s surely a fantastic choice. Samsung’s Odyssey series curved monitors offer excellent viewing angles, resolution, color accuracy, touch response, and refresh rates.
Musk’s Gaming PC Setup in the White House
A reporter from the New York Times, Kate Conger, posted an image of Musk’s gaming PC setup in the Secretary of War Suite in the Eisenhower Building. From the setup, it appears that Musk uses either a Samsung 49-inch Odyssey OLED G9 or a QD-OLED G9 ultra-wide curved monitor. You can see the setup below:
Samsung’s QD-OLED G9 gaming monitor comes in multiple specs, all with a 49-inch dual QHD curved display. They boast a wider color spectrum on a 5120 x 1440 resolution screen and 0.03ms (GtG) response time. The refresh rate options vary between 144Hz and 240Hz. These monitors also make multitasking seamless with Picture-in-Picture and Picture-by-Picture modes.
VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 support ensures unmatched depth with vibrant colors and true blacks. The monitors also boast AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, minimizing screen lag and image tearing. The QD-OLED Safeguard helps regulate brightness and heat. Connectivity options include HDMI 2.1, Micro HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB-C ports. The ergonomic stand lets you adjust easily, while the slim design with a premium metal finish offers amazing style. The best thing is the monitors come with a 3-year warranty.
In the US, the current offer price of the 49-inch Odyssey QD-OLED G9 144Hz (G91SD) gaming monitor is $949 (after a $350 discount). The G95SC model with a 240Hz panel is priced at $1,099, a flat $700 discount on its regular price. These are pretty good deals if you also want a gaming PC setup like Musk.
