Samsung has been rolling out the One UI 8.5 to a bunch of Galaxy devices. With the latest update, multiple users are reporting that a familiar camera feature may have been removed. Going by those reports, Samsung seems to have removed the video filters in One UI 8.5.

One UI 8.5 update seemingly removes video filters on Galaxy phones

According to user reports 1, 2 (via Piunikaweb), video filters are no longer available on some devices after installing One UI 8.5. Previously, these filters were integrated into the camera app and could be used while recording videos at 1080p resolution.

Before the update, the feature was already limited, as it didn’t work with 4K recording. Now, users say the option has disappeared entirely, including for 1080p videos at both 30FPS and 60FPS.

It is unclear if Samsung has removed this feature intentionally or if this is a bug. For now, there are a couple of workarounds, including applying filters in photo mode before recording or editing videos later in the gallery app. However, both methods are less convenient, and editing may also result in some loss of quality.
