Samsung has finally delivered the long-awaited September 2024 Google Play System update to the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 foldable smartphones. It has been a while since the company has delivered a Google Play System update for these smartphones. They shipped with the April build of the same and have been stuck on this version since the launch. The brand seemed to have forgotten to deliver the latest Play System update for the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 for a while. However, now you can rest happily as the new update is live on these devices in the US.
Galaxy Z Fold 6 & Z Flip 6 are getting the September 2024 Google Play System update in the US
Samsung recently rolled out the October 2024 security update for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 smartphones. Sadly, the new firmware didn’t deliver the latest version of the Google Play System services. However, the brand has finally rolled out the September 2024 Google Play System update to both the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6 in the US. The update is live for both the unlocked units of the latest foldable smartphones from Samsung.
The baseband or firmware version of the September 2024 Google Play System update for the Z Fold 6 is “F956U1UES1AXIB”. The same for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is “F741U1UES1AXIB”. The new update is still based on the One UI 6.1.1 version and October 2024 Android security patch.
As expected, the changelog of the latest update for the Z Fold 6 still mentions stability improvements and bug fixes. The new firmware also offers unspecified “new and/ or enhanced features”. Lastly, the latest update delivers further improvements to the performance of the new foldable smartphones. Notably, both of these devices will be among the first to receive the One UI 7 update as soon as it becomes available.
