April 2026 Update Lands on Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE

Samsung’s April 2026 security patch is now available for all five Galaxy S25 models. The update first arrived on the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, and has now expanded to the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE. The rollout remains limited to Korea, but a global release should follow shortly.

Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE get Samsung’s April 2026 update

Samsung began pushing this month’s SMR (Security Maintenance Release) to eligible devices early in the month. The Galaxy S26 series led the charge, followed by the S25 lineup and a bunch of foldables. Now, the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE have joined the party. The Fan Edition model is getting the update with the firmware build number S731NKSS6AZCH, while it’s S937NKSS7BZCH for the Edge.

As usual, the rollout is expected to expand to more regions over the coming days. Galaxy users can always check for new updates on their phones through the Settings app. Go to the Software update menu and select Download and install. If an update is available, you will be prompted to download it. Simply follow the instructions to install the new firmware.

Like all other devices, the latest software release for the Galaxy S25 Edge and S25 FE is all about security patches. Samsung has confirmed that this month’s SMR brings a total of 47 fixes addressing vulnerabilities across Galaxy devices. These fixes cover a mix of critical, high, and moderate severity issues discovered on Android OS, One UI, and semiconductor components.

While there are now new features here, Samsung could release the stable One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy S25 series later this month. It has already rolled out several beta builds for the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, but the FE and Edge are not eligible for beta updates. We will let you know when the stable rollout begins.
