Galaxy S21 FE appears with Android 15-based One UI 7.0
One UI 7.0 is Samsung’s Android 15 update for Galaxy devices. It brings new Android OS goodies from Google and tons of tweaks and add-ons from the Korean firm. The company is working diligently behind the scenes to refine the update. Samsung aims to fix the more obvious bugs internally before launching a public beta program, ensuring that when the update finally arrives, it will deliver a seamless and polished experience for users.
Over the past few weeks, several Galaxy devices have appeared on the benchmarking platform Geekbench with Android 15 onboard, including a few mid-range models. The Galaxy S21 FE is the latest to be spotted running the new Android version. The US variant of the phone (model number SM-G990U) appeared on the benchmarking platform with Android 15 and One UI 7.0. The 6GB RAM variant was used for testing — an 8GB RAM variant also exists.
While this listing doesn’t reveal anything else, Samsung’s One UI 7.0 development and internal testing is in full swing. The company may release the first beta build in early September. With it taking time to fix minor bugs internally, the beta program shouldn’t be too long. That’s the goal, after all. We may get the stable build by November. The Galaxy S24 series should receive the big new update first, followed by others. Stay tuned for more about Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update.
