Samsung was widely expected to release One UI 7.0 Beta 3 on Monday, but that didn’t happen. Fans have been asking for an explanation, and now we have one. A beta moderator on the official community forum revealed that the third beta update is still in development. While there is no official release date yet, it is expected to arrive soon.
One UI 7.0 Beta 3 is on the way, Samsung confirms
Samsung released the first One UI 7.0 beta update on December 5 and followed up with Beta 2 on December 16. With the second release, the company also expanded the beta program to India and Poland. It was previously available in the US, the UK, China, Germany, and South Korea. A Samsung Support representative revealed that Beta 3 and Beta 4 are planned for December 23 and December 30.
However, the third beta update didn’t arrive on the said date, leading to a flurry of questions on the official community forum. A beta moderator recently responded saying that the next beta build is still under development. “We will officially announce the 3rd Beta date once the software is confirmed,” the moderator said. “We are still working on the finalization of the software.”
This likely means Beta 4 won’t be arriving next Monday, though we weren’t exactly expecting it. As we’ve mentioned before, Samsung’s customer support staff often lacks the necessary knowledge or information to accurately address user queries. This seems to be another case of a representative providing dates without proper verification.
Anyway, we now have confirmation that there will be at least a third beta update before Samsung rolls out the stable One UI 7.0 version, which begins following the Galaxy S25 launch on January 22, 2025. It’s unclear if the company plans to launch beta programs for more devices, though. Currently, One UI 7.0 beta is available for the Galaxy S24 series in the aforementioned seven markets.
