Galaxy S24 users have already had a taste of the One UI 7.0 beta, which has been available for the past few days. Touted as one of the most significant One UI updates in recent memory, does it live up to the hype? It does. So far, it’s hitting all the right notes, bringing a host of exciting new features. That said, let’s not forget that it’s still in beta, so the final stable version is likely to bring even more polish.

What’s new in Camera Share on One UI 7.0
The Camera Sharing feature, which first appeared in One UI 6.1, is now called Camera Share in One UI 7.0. You can use your Galaxy phone as a webcam for your Galaxy Book. With just a few toggles i.e. Settings > Connected devices, both devices can sync seamlessly. All it requires is Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
Storage Share will be even smarter with One UI 7.0
Similarly, the Storage Share feature offers an easy way to access files, photos, and music on your Galaxy phone directly from your Galaxy Book ditching the USB connection. This feature removes the hassle of manual file transfers, making it easier for users to manage their data across devices.
While still not fully available in the beta, the feature is expected to land with the full release of One UI 7.0, likely coinciding with the launch of the Galaxy S25 series.
Early testers report a smooth user experience. However, some bugs and missing updates might affect the rollout for specific Galaxy Book models, as Samsung’s app support on Windows needs to catch up. It comes after the Samsung DeX app bid its final goodbye to Windows.
