Galaxy S23 Gets July 2026 Update in More Regions, Galaxy A27 Gets First Update

As we get closer to August, Samsung continues expanding the July 2026 security update to more Galaxy devices and regions. The company has now started the global rollout of the One UI 8.5-based July 2026 security update. Meanwhile, the recently launched Galaxy A27 has also picked up its very first software update.

Galaxy S23 series gets July 2026 patch in more regions while Galaxy A27 receives first update

The Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+, and Galaxy S23 Ultra are now receiving the July 2026 security update across India, Europe and several Southeast Asian markets after the rollout first began in Samsung’s home country of South Korea last week. The latest build weighs around 400MB and ends in FZG1. Samsung has also released the same update for the Fan Edition variant, the Galaxy S23 FE with the build version being S711BXXSHGZG1.

Moving to Samsung’s newest A series phone — the Galaxy A27, it has started receiving the July 2026 patch in Korea, marking its very first software update since launch. The new update carries build version A276KKSS2AZG1.

As expected, don’t look for any new features here. The July 2026 security update fixes 57 security issues. These were identified by Samsung, Google, and their partner companies, making it a recommended install for all eligible Galaxy users.

If you own any of these Galaxy devices, you can check for the latest update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update appears and finishes downloading, tap Install now to begin the installation process. Samsung rolls out updates in phases, so if your Galaxy hasn’t received the new security release yet, there’s no need to worry. The update should reach more regions and CSCs in the coming days.
