Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra May Borrow S26 Ultra’s Best Camera Features

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra may not introduce major camera hardware upgrades. Leaks suggest only the ultrawide lens is getting a new sensor, with the rest expected to carry over from the Fold 7. However, hardware isn’t the whole story. A new leak claims the foldable will inherit several advanced camera features from the Galaxy S26 Ultra, along with improved image processing that could deliver a noticeable boost in photo and video quality.

Galaxy S26 Ultra camera experience may come to the Fold 8 Ultra

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra will succeed last year’s Fold 7. However, Samsung’s decision to brand it as an “Ultra” model comes with higher expectations. Users will expect more than a minor refresh, particularly in areas like the camera. To help justify the new branding, Samsung may bring several flagship camera features from the Galaxy S26 Ultra to its premium foldable.

A well-known tipster recently revealed three major camera enhancements that could significantly elevate the Fold lineup’s photography and videography experience:

• Video LUT support, allowing users to apply professional color profiles during video editing or recording workflows
• Enhanced camera pixel processing and improved low-light photography, which could deliver brighter images with better detail in challenging lighting conditions
• Improved software features, including enhanced dual recording and other Ultra-level tools

These additions would make the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra a more capable content creation device, particularly for users who shoot videos or frequently use the foldable’s Flex Mode for hands-free recording. As always with pre-release leaks, the details should be treated with caution until Samsung makes an official announcement. The new foldable will launch alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 8 (Wide) and Flip 8 on July 22.
