Samsung Reveals Galaxy M47 5G Launch Date and Key Specs

Samsung is reviving its Galaxy M4x series after nearly 3 years with the launch of Galaxy M47 5G. The company has officially announced the launch date of the new mid-range phone in India. In addition, it revealed a host of key specifications for an early glance at the device.

Here are the key details of the upcoming Galaxy M47 5G

Samsung has shared key details of the Galaxy M47 5G through an Amazon microsite and a YouTube video. The company will unveil the phone in India on June 29, 2026. While it is unclear whether the sale date will coincide with the launch day, the device will be available for purchase through Amazon India and Samsung India’s online store.

Speaking of design, the Galaxy M47 5G boasts a familiar rear panel with a pill-shaped camera module. There is a centered, hole-punch cutout on the screen for the selfie camera. The phone comes in two color options: Blaze Blue and Rogue Red.

Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy M47 5G uses a Snapdragon processor, though the exact chipset remains under wraps. The phone features LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for effortless multitasking and lag-free gaming. It sports a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. Thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, you get better scratch resistance.

In the camera department, we get a triple-rear-camera setup with a 50MP main unit (OIS). The other two units are a 5MP ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro sensor. On the front, the device houses a 12MP selfie camera.

Samsung also confirms support for 45W fast charging and bypass charging. The latter gives your game more power with less stress on the battery. There is no word on the battery capacity.

On the software side, the Galaxy M47 5G runs on One UI 8.5 (based on Android 16) out of the box. The company promises to offer six generations of Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates.

As of now, Samsung has not shared the pricing details for the Galaxy M47 5G. We’ll let you know when the phone hits the store.
