Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S27 Pro is shaping up to be a compelling flagship. The phone could feature a built-in Privacy Display feature seen on the latest Galaxy S26 Ultra. If it pans out, this would be a big shift in the company’s strategy for spreading premium features across the flagship lineup.

A leak suggests Samsung is expanding Privacy Display beyond the Ultra model

Samsung will reportedly include a Pro model in its Galaxy S27 series, expected to debut in early 2027. The Galaxy S27 Pro may sit between the S27+ and the S27 Ultra in the pecking order. It could serve as a powerful alternative to the base Galaxy S27, with a slightly larger 6.47-inch display. More importantly, it may borrow some premium features from the S27 Ultra.

According to tipster Digital Chat Station, Samsung is testing a hardware-level privacy display feature for the Galaxy S27 Pro. The company first introduced the feature exclusively with its Galaxy S26 Ultra, bringing a big leap in built-in privacy solutions. Hopefully, it succeeds in testing and is integrated into the non-Ultra flagship model as well.

While the next-gen Galaxy S27 Ultra will undoubtedly boast Privacy Display, Samsung’s intention to bring it to another model in the lineup is a welcome move. Could the remaining models, the S27 and S27+, also get it? That seems unlikely to happen.

If you are unfamiliar, Samsung’s Privacy Display is a built-in feature that protects your screen from prying eyes in public. When you turn it on, the screen remains clear in straight view. However, the content becomes dim for people around you. The best thing is that you can customize the feature to perform only for certain apps or notifications.

In addition to Privacy Display, Samsung is also expected to bring a bunch of Ultra-level specs to the S27 Pro. These include a similar rear camera system, except for the telephoto sensor. The phone may also feature a 5,000 mAh battery.
