Galaxy S27 Surfaces Early on GSMA Database

It’s been over three and a half months since Samsung took the wraps off the Galaxy S26 series. There are another few weeks until Samsung pulls the wraps off the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and Galaxy Z Flip 8. Amid that, the Galaxy S27, set to arrive early next year, has shown up on the GSMA IMEI database.
Galaxy S27 makes early appearance on GSMA IMEI database
As spotted by folks over at SmartPrix, Samsung’s next flagship, the Galaxy S27, has appeared on the GSMA IMEI database. It carries the model number SM-S952U, which SammyGuru readers may have already figured out is a US model, thanks to the “U” suffix.

It comes more than a month earlier than last year’s timeline, when the Galaxy S26 first appeared on the same database. That doesn’t usually confirm anything definitive. But we’d hope the Galaxy S27 series arrives a bit earlier than the Galaxy S26 lineup, which was delayed until the last week of February.
Rest of the Galaxy S27 family is missing for now
For now, the GSMA database doesn’t reveal anything beyond the model number, smartphone name, and maker, but those are the key details and confirm what’s coming next year. In the coming weeks, we expect the other models, rumored to be the Galaxy S27 Pro, Galaxy S27+, and Galaxy S27 Ultra, to show up on the database as well.
A few details about the Galaxy S27 have surfaced over the past few months. The Galaxy S27 could use a BOE display to help reduce production costs. Rumors conflict on whether the base Galaxy S27 will feature an Exynos or Snapdragon chipset. Samsung could once again adopt its market-specific chip strategy. For now, though, it’s best to take these claims with a pinch of salt.
