Samsung Rolls Out One UI 8.5 Update for Galaxy M36

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 update is now available for another Galaxy M model. The Galaxy M36 joins the Galaxy M56 and M55 in the rollout, with more devices likely to get it in the coming days. The update should also hit a bunch of other models over the next few weeks.

One UI 8.5 arrives with the May 2026 security patch for the Galaxy M36

The Galaxy M36 is currently getting One UI 8.5 in South Korea, where it’s sold as the Galaxy Jump 4. Users are reportedly receiving the update with firmware version M366KKSU5CZE3. A wider rollout in global markets should begin soon.

One UI 8.5 introduces a refreshed visual design throughout the interface, making Samsung’s software feel cleaner and more modern. Bixby also receives a substantial upgrade in this update. It is now better at handling natural conversations and can maintain chat history, allowing for more contextual interactions.

The Camera app gains three new film-inspired filters designed to give photos a more cinematic appearance, while the Weather app features an updated widget design and a new Pollen Index tool that can help users monitor local air conditions more effectively.

The One UI 8.5 update also brings support for Direct Voicemail, making it easier to manage missed calls and voicemail messages. Additionally, Samsung has added Storage Share functionality, which simplifies file access and storage management across compatible devices.

Battery management receives attention as well, with revamped battery health and usage insights that provide a clearer picture of long-term battery condition and power consumption patterns.

Alongside a ton of features and enhancements, the One UI 8.5 update for the Galaxy M36 in Korea bundles the May 2026 security patch, bringing the latest security fixes and stability improvements.
