Galaxy S27 Pro Could Bring Ultra Specs in a Smaller Size

Samsung is preparing one of the biggest changes to its flagship smartphone strategy in years. Alongside the regular trio, the company could launch a Galaxy S27 Pro next year, putting it between the Plus and Ultra models. A new report sheds some light on its key specs.
Galaxy S27 Pro specs leaked, revealing Samsung’s plan
The Galaxy S27 Pro looks all set to join the S27, S27+, and S27 Ultra in Samsung’s 2027 flagship lineup. According to the Korean media, the Pro model may feature a 6.47-inch OLED display, making it larger than the base S27 but smaller than the Plus. However, it may still sit above the Plus in the pecking order. Samsung is basically creating a “smaller” Ultra, while the Plus is a “larger” base model.
Reports suggest the Galaxy S27 Pro could share many of its core specifications with the S27 Ultra. Alongside the next-generation Snapdragon chipset, it could get Samsung’s Privacy Display technology, which is currently exclusive to the Ultra model. The camera setup may be identical too. This means a 200MP primary sensor, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 50MP telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom.
The only notable difference may be the absence of the built-in S Pen, allowing Samsung to offer Ultra-like hardware in a more compact size. The company is seemingly going after Apple, which also offers a Pro iPhone just below the Pro Max (top tier). It remains to be seen if the plan works — the last time Samsung launched a “new” flagship (Galaxy S25 Edge), it failed spectacularly.
More information about the Galaxy S27 Pro should surface in the coming weeks as Samsung continues to work on the phone behind the scenes. The Galaxy S27 lineup isn’t expected until 2027, so still plenty of time for more detailed leaks.
