Google Confirms Gemini Intelligence Features Coming to Galaxy Devices

In recent years, Samsung’s Galaxy devices have evolved into powerful AI companions. This is mainly because of built-in Galaxy AI features and deep integration with Gemini, Google’s AI assistant. The AI experience will now become even smarter with Gemini Intelligence, which handles tasks on your behalf. Google has confirmed that the new intelligent AI features are coming to Galaxy devices, though the rollout will happen in phases.

Gemini Intelligence will make Android devices more proactive

Google recently announced Gemini Intelligence, an advanced AI system for Android devices. The intelligence system aims to proactively help users complete tasks, automate actions across apps, and offer a more personalized experience. The company said, “Gemini Intelligence features will roll out in waves starting with the latest Samsung Galaxy and Google Pixel phones this summer.”

While Google did not mention the Galaxy models, the latest flagship Galaxy S26 series could be the first to enjoy Gemini Intelligence features. In fact, in recent weeks, the Mountain View giant has been fine-tuning multi-step automation capabilities (part of Gemini Intelligence) on Galaxy S26 and Pixel 10 devices.

Gemini Intelligence integrates “premium hardware and innovative software.” This suggests that for the full experience, you may need a high-end smartphone. Will the intelligence system be limited to select Galaxy S and Z series devices? Only time will tell.

Samsung could debut its next-generation foldable devices on July 22, 2026. This includes the Galaxy Z Flip 8, Galaxy Z Fold 8, and the rumored Galaxy Z Wide Fold. It would not be surprising if Gemini Intelligence ships on these devices from day one. 

Google also said that Gemini Intelligence will roll out to other Android devices, including smartwatch, later this year. This means Galaxy Watches will now become smarter AI companions, offering more proactive features in day-to-day use. The next-generation Galaxy Watch 9 series is expected to debut alongside the upcoming foldable smartphones. However, it remains to be seen whether the new smartwatch lineup will ship with Gemini Intelligence out of the box.
