Galaxy A27 Pops Up on India’s BIS, Launch Likely Imminent

The Galaxy A27 was expected to debut alongside the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57, but it never saw the light of day. The other two models launched as usual, and now it looks like the Galaxy A27 may be getting closer to launch as well. It has now cleared India’s BIS certification.
Galaxy A27 clears key launch milestone with BIS
It appeared a few days ago on Samsung’s Brazil website, which suggests the launch could be sooner. Now, the Galaxy A27 has also been spotted on BIS with the model number SM-A276B/DS. The “B” here suggests it’s an international model, while “DS” refers to dual SIM, which isn’t surprising.
A few days ago, its renders and dimensions were revealed as well. According to those details, the Galaxy A27 could measure 162.3 x 78.6 x 7.9mm and feature a 6.7-inch screen. It may also come with an upgraded Infinity-O display, replacing the Infinity-U notch seen on its predecessor.
Under the hood, it may pack the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging. As for the cameras, it’s expected to include a 50MP main sensor, an 8MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro unit, along with a 12MP front camera. On the software side, the Galaxy A27 will run Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5. Like its predecessor, it’s also expected to receive six years of Android OS and security updates.
