It’s a big day. Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 8.5 stable update to a range of Galaxy devices. The likes of the Galaxy S25 series (including the Edge), Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and Galaxy Z TriFold have already received it. Now, the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE (review) is also getting the One UI 8.5 update.
You can now install One UI 8.5 stable on your Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE
Samsung is now rolling out the One UI 8.5 stable update to Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE users. At the moment, the update is only available in South Korea. However, now that the rollout has begun, it shouldn’t take long to reach other regions in the coming days. The build version is F761NKSU9BZDP.
Those who already own the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE and are in South Korea may want to update to the latest software. To do so, head to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the update file is downloaded, tap Install now. The installation will take some time, after which the device will reboot, running Android 16 QPR2-based One UI 8.5.
As a quick tip, make sure your Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE has at least 30% battery. With seamless updates, Samsung now requires a minimum of 30%, up from 20% earlier. Since the Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE only supports 25W charging, it’s a good idea to keep it charged to avoid delays.
