Galaxy A55, A36, and A35 also get new One UI 8.5 Beta Updates

Samsung may be inching closer to the stable rollout of One UI 8.5, but beta testing isn’t over just yet. The company continues to push new beta builds across multiple devices, suggesting there’s still polishing left to do before a wider release. The Galaxy A55, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A35 are the latest to receive fresh beta updates.
One UI 8.5 Beta 2 is now live for Galaxy A55, A36, and A35
Earlier today, Samsung released the second One UI 8.5 beta update for the Galaxy S23 series. The company is now pushing new beta builds to registered Galaxy A55, A36, and A35 users as well. The latest firmware versions for these devices are ZZDC, ZZD7, and ZZD9, respectively. This is also the second beta update for all three A-series smartphones.
As expected, Samsung is addressing a bunch of bugs with the latest release. The official release notes mention fixes for issues affecting Camera, Bluetooth, Quick Panel, navigation bar, and other functions and UI elements. None of the devices appear to be getting fresh features with One UI 8.5 Beta 2. Samsung is basically refining the software ahead of the stable rollout.
Debuted with the Galaxy S26 series, One UI 8.5 subtly refines the UI with modern aesthetics and a functional overhaul. The update also brings new camera features, AI tools, and other enhancements across the board.
If rumors are accurate, the stable update will go live for the Galaxy S25 series this Thursday, April 30. Users in Korea may get the update first, followed by other regions next week. A wider rollout for other models may begin in the second week of May, though the Galaxy A55, Galaxy A36, and Galaxy A35 may not receive One UI 8.5 until June. Or maybe Samsung has some surprises up its sleeves; we shall find out soon.
