Samsung Display is one of the biggest names in the global display industry, supplying screens for nearly everything. As it prepares for its next leap in OLED tech, the company is focusing on something just as important as innovation, which is its supplier network.
Samsung Display held its 2026 Partnership Day on April 15 at the DoubleTree by Hilton Seoul Pangyo, reports The Elec. It brought together key suppliers from across Korea as it prepares to mass-produce its 8.6-generation IT OLED panels. Around 70 people attended, including company execs and reps from more than 50 partner firms.
Chung says 2026 is a big year for OLED
President Lee Chung said this is a big year for the company, with new OLED panels close to mass production and demand rising for foldables and AI devices. He stressed that working closely with partners matters, especially when it comes to reading market demand and turning ideas into products quickly.
The company also recognized seven suppliers for their work. SFC was highlighted for high efficiency, long lasting materials. Philoptics got an award for its glass cutting tech that boosts durability and production efficiency. LOT Vacuum was recognized for cutting greenhouse gas emissions by 30 percent since 2021.
Samsung Display also showed off its latest innovations. These included privacy display, a next gen QD-OLED monitor, and concept devices like a mini pet robot and AI gadgets. It sounds mostly the same stuff the company showed at CES 2026.
