The Galaxy S26 Ultra is shaping up to be one of Samsung’s most refined flagships yet, and a fresh leak confirms several key upgrades coming to the device. According to a reliable source, the 2026 flagships are currently undergoing dual-chip testing, meaning there’s still a possibility of an Exynos 2600-powered S26 Ultra. A big battery boost and a 3x camera upgrade are also in the pipeline.

Fresh leak confirms major upgrades for Galaxy S26 Ultra

While the Exynos 2600 looks set to debut with the Galaxy S26 series, there have been contrasting reports about an Exynos version of the Ultra model. Some say Samsung will ship the S26 Ultra with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 globally. Others hint at Exynos 2600 in some regions. The latest leak suggests Samsung is keeping its options open as it pushes forward with its next-generation 2nm Exynos processor.

The tipster also revealed that the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s battery capacity will jump from 5,000mAh to 5,400mAh, offering more endurance without compromising design. Once again, we have seen contrasting reports about the battery capacity of the next Ultra. Samsung is slimming the phone down to just 7.9mm, so aby battery boost would be huge. Better if the rumors of 60W charging materialize, too.

Additionally, Samsung’s telephoto module has reportedly been verified, with an engineering validation test (EVT) now complete. The leak specifically mentions a 12MP 3x telephoto test module, which suggests Samsung will upgrade from the 10MP unit on the existing models. It’s unclear if this sensor will make it to the entire lineup or if the Ultra gets something different.

The Galaxy S26 series is rumored to be delayed until February or March 2026, but the steady stream of leaks suggests Samsung is already deep into testing. With AI-driven performance, a potentially larger battery, and refined camera hardware, the S26 Ultra is looking quite exciting.
