Samsung just unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge, its slimmest smartphone yet. While it packs flagship-level performance, the ultra-thin design comes with some notable trade-offs. Most striking is the absence of a zoom camera — Samsung has equipped the device with just two rear lenses. And if you’re wondering whether the S25 Edge includes the anti-reflective display tech seen on the Ultra model, the answer is no.

Galaxy S25 Edge misses out on an anti-reflective display

At just 5.8mm thick, the Galaxy S25 Edge is incredibly slim. Yet it shares many of the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s flagship-level specs — including the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, generative AI capabilities, and a QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz variable refresh rate. However, it does leave out the anti-reflective glass cover that has become a standout feature in Samsung’s Ultra lineup.

Introduced with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, this revolutionary display technology substantially reduces screen glare, enhancing visuals and colors in bright environments. Samsung also offers this solution on the S25 Ultra, but not on other S25 models. Since the Edge is almost as expensive as the Ultra, many expected it to feature an anti-reflective display, but not.

This super-slim Samsung flagship does sport a new display protection technology, though. The S25 Edge gets Corning’s all-new Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front. For those who want less screen glare, Samsung offers a separate anti-reflective screen protector. It may not be as convenient or effective as a built-in solution, but still better than traditional screen protectors with no anti-reflective coating.
