Galaxy Z Assurance makes foldable screen replacement more affordable

by | Aug 5, 2024 | Galaxy Z, News

Samsung offers a special after-sales service for its foldables in the US, Galaxy Z Assurance. It is a free service bundled with the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6. Buyers get a one-time discounted screen replacement and free screen protector replacement. There’s no word on the expansion of this policy to other regions.

Galaxy Z Assurance offers discounted screen replacements for foldables

Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Assurance program last year, with the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. The promotion was valid for purchases made till the end of July 2024. The company has now introduced a similar service for the new foldables. The policy terms remain the same for the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, and will probably be available till July 2025.

If you make an eligible Galaxy Z Flip 6 or Fold 6 purchase (from official sources in the US), you will get a one-time folding screen replacement at just $200. Normally, it costs $549 for the Fold and $319 for the Flip. Of course, any subsequent screen replacements will cost the full price. Moreover, the discounted price will be available for up to two years from the date of purchase.

If you need to replace the screen after that, Galaxy Z Assurance won’t cover it regardless of whether you claimed the benefit in the first two years. The free screen protector replacement is only available for one year. If you are purchasing the Galaxy Z Flip 6 or Fold 6 in the US, make sure to enquire about Galaxy Z Assurance. The program is available for online and offline purchases.

Samsung’s official product pages for the new foldables show the above stamp for the program. It highlights durability improvements like Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection on the outside, IP48 dust and water resistance on the inside, and a stronger folding screen tested and verified for 200,000 folds. That’s six years of use even if you fold-unfold your phone over 90 times a day.
