We Now Know One Big Reason For Samsung’s One UI 7.0 Delay

by | Aug 13, 2024 | News, One UI

Google just took the wraps off their new Pixel 9 series of devices this morning. Leaks suggested that the new Pixel devices would fail to launch with Android 15 and that fear has now been confirmed by Google. It appears that Google is further behind on the development of Android 15 than originally thought. This delay in launching Android 15 will directly impact Samsung’s progress on the One UI 7.0 beta. We heard just last week that the One UI 7.0 beta might not launch until early September. That timeline now seems reasonable, and in fact, could potentially push back further into the month of September.

Galaxy fans are eagerly awaiting the beta testing period for One UI 7.0, but these new developments seem to suggest we’ll be waiting a lot longer. Samsung is working on enhanced animations, additional Galaxy AI features, a new quick settings menu, and even more. These features, coupled with all of the Android 15 improvements, are taking some time. We should not be disappointed about this, as the delayed release should lead to a much smoother beta experience. If you’re interested in signing up for the One UI 7.0 beta, install the Samsung Members app now.
