Theme Park Update Brings More Control Over Custom Wallpaper

by | Aug 9, 2024 | News, Samsung Apps, Updates

Samsung has released a new update for Theme Park. The app now lets you edit your custom theme’s wallpaper without applying a matching color scheme to the rest of the theme. Earlier, it automatically applied the colors from the wallpaper to other theme elements. The update is rolling out globally via the Galaxy Store and should be available to everyone soon (we have provided a direct link below).

Theme Park update improves wallpaper customization

Theme Park is a first-party Samsung app for Galaxy smartphones. It is a customization tool for creating themes and icon packs and customizing the keyboard, Quick Panel, and Volume Panel. The app offers great versatility, letting you personalize your theme, icons, and other UI elements. Samsung recently updated Theme Park to add a handy new feature that improves wallpaper customization.

When creating or customizing a theme, the app draws colors from your wallpaper and applies them dynamically to other UI elements for a consistent systemwide look. But what if you wanted to change the wallpaper only and keep your existing UI colors? Theme Park didn’t let you do that earlier — it automatically applied new colors from your wallpaper. The latest update (version 1.1.00.18) adds this ability.

Upon selecting a new wallpaper, Theme Park now asks if you want to initialize your edits, i.e., edit the color scheme of the theme to match the new wallpaper. You can select No to block the app from automatically updating the colors. Your existing UI colors will remain unaffected. If you want to change colors to match the wallpaper, go back, select the same wallpaper, and select Yes from the pop-up.

This handy new function is available with the latest update for Theme Park, which is now rolling out to users globally. You can download the updated version from the Galaxy Store. Samsung might add more customization options to Theme Park with One UI 7.0. The big update is expected to bring major UI changes and improve Galaxy customizations. Samsung may open a beta program later this month.
