Samsung Updates Health and Wallet Apps for Galaxy Watch Users

by | Aug 7, 2024 | Galaxy Watch, News, Samsung Apps, Updates

Galaxy Watch users, Samsung has released a new update for your watch’s Wallet/Pay and Health apps. These aren’t major updates with big new features or anything of that sort, but still important ones. They address bugs and performance glitches for a more polished and smooth user experience.

Samsung Health and Wallet apps updated for the Galaxy Watch

The latest update for Samsung Health brings version 6.27.1.025 of the app to your Galaxy Watch. It’s a 99.95MB update with a relatively vague changelog. Samsung hasn’t specified anything, suggesting that the update is all about bug fixes and performance optimizations. The company periodically releases these kinds of updates to first-party apps, ensuring smooth functionality and reliable user experience.

Samsung Wallet is getting a 55MB update to version 5.1.72.2006. Like the Health app, it is also picking up bug fixes and performance optimizations that should make the app work more smoothly. There aren’t any new features or notable functional changes in tow. Samsung is currently running a beta program for the Wear OS 5-based One UI 6 Watch. The stable update should arrive soon.

Note that One UI 6 Watch is available out of the box on the Galaxy Watch 7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra. The Galaxy Watch 4, Watch 5, Watch 6, and Watch FE will get this update. It will bring new health features and other enhancements to your Samsung wearable. We will let you know when the update arrives. In the meantime, you can update the Health and Wallet apps and be prepared for the big feature drop.

You can update apps directly from your watch or your connected smartphone. On the watch, open the Settings app, go to the Apps section, select Samsung app updates, and download the available updates. Note that third-party apps downloaded from the Play Store can only be updated from the Play Store. Open the Play Store on your watch, scroll down to the Manage apps section, and update the apps. Disable Bluetooth and force the watch to a Wi-Fi connection to speed up the download process.
