Earlier this month, Samsung announced an “AI for All” conference for CES 2025. Ahead of the mega tech show early next month, the company has started unveiling its next-gen AI-powered home appliances. It launched new refrigerators with AI Hybrid Cooling technology and more appliances with AI Home touchscreens.

Samsung is bringing its advanced screen technology to a broader range of home appliances next year. The lineup includes new Bespoke refrigerators, washers, and dryers, all integrated with AI Home touchscreen displays. Users can control and monitor settings like temperature and other features using these displays.

According to the company, this is “a bold step forward in realizing its ‘Screens Everywhere’ vision”. Samsung is adding a 9-inch screen to its refrigerators and a 7-inch screen to the wall oven and the washer and dryer set. In some cases, these displays also function as a hub for the smart things connectivity platform.

Additionally, the appliances will come with a pre-installed Samsung TV, allowing users to watch live channels and video-on-demand content. Samsung aims to connect smartphones with all home appliances and enable internet access. The goal is to modernize home appliances and create a broader smart ecosystem.

Meanwhile, as part of its CES 2025 AI appliance lineup, Samsung announced its AI Hybrid Cooling technology for refrigerators. This technology functions like a hybrid car. It uses “two power sources together only when needed to efficiently cool the inside of the fridge.” Samsung combined AI with innovative cooling methods for this energy-efficient and user-centric design.

“Since refrigerators run 24/7, we placed a strong emphasis on developing a cooling system that meaningfully enhances energy efficiency for users,” said Jeong Seung Moon, an EVP at Samsung. “We will continue to introduce home appliances that incorporate innovative technologies to make consumers’ daily lives more convenient.” CES 2025 runs from January 7 to 10.
