Samsung Targets Over 40 Million Galaxy S25 Sales in 2025

by | Dec 17, 2024 | Galaxy S, News

Samsung is aiming high for 2025, targeting a significant boost in flagship sales. Early estimates suggest the company will ship over 40 million Galaxy S25 units next year, including the Slim and FE models. The Galaxy S25 Ultra is expected to lead the pack as the top seller.

Samsung may sell over 40 million Galaxy S25 phones next year

In 2019, Samsung expanded its S series flagship lineup, introducing a third Galaxy S10 model. It followed up with an affordable Galaxy S10 Lite in early 2020. Since then, the company has regularly launched three full-fledged flagships and an affordable S series model, now rebranded to Fan Edition (FE). It canceled the Galaxy S22 FE for various reasons, but the lineup exists.

Starting in 2025, Samsung may launch a fifth flagship. The company is widely rumored to introduce a Galaxy S25 Slim with a sleek profile and top-tier specs. It could debut in the second quarter, following the launch of the three regular models in January. The Galaxy S25 FE will complete the lineup in the second half of the year.

According to reports, Samsung aims to sell well over 40 million units of these phones. It plans to produce 14.8 million units of the base Galaxy S25, 6.6 million units of the Galaxy S25+, 16 million units of the Ultra, and 3 million units of the Slim. Combined with the FE, the total shipment volume could cross 45 million units if Samsung achieves its flagship sales goal for 2025.

Since the Slim is a completely new product, the company plans to move cautiously. It’ll first gauge the market for a slim flagship before deciding the final production volume. If it sees enough demand, expect a bigger sales figure for Samsung’s 2025 S series flagships.

Interestingly, the Korean tech giant may expand its foldable lineup in 2025 as well. It is expected to launch two Flip and two Fold models next year, including a more affordable Flip FE. Samsung has set a modest production target for these devices, likely factoring in the increasing competition in the market. However, depending on the reception of the FE model, it could still surpass 10 million units in sales. Stay tuned for further updates.
