Samsung Rolls Out New Update for Galaxy Watch 7, 8 and Ultra in the US

Samsung’s latest Galaxy Watch software update is now available in the US. The Galaxy Watch 7, Watch 8, and Watch Ultra models are picking up a fresh update stateside, bringing security improvements and system optimizations. The rollout should expand nationwide over the next few days.
Galaxy Watch 7, Watch 8, and Watch Ultra get a new update in the US
Last week, Samsung released a new update for its recent smartwatches in South Korea. The Galaxy Watch 7, Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra received the May 2026 security fixes and software optimizations. The company gradually rolled out the update in more markets, including Europe and India.
Now, this firmware release has arrived in the US too. Users can identify the update by build numbers ending in BZE1 on the Watch 7 series and Watch Ultra, and AZE1 on the Watch 8 lineup. As usual, the exact version may vary slightly depending on the model, size, and carrier.
The download package is relatively small, typically ranging between 150MB and 200MB. That suggests Samsung is focusing on maintenance improvements rather than introducing new features. In addition to the security fixes, users can expect general stability enhancements and performance optimizations.
While Samsung doesn’t provide detailed information about every change, these updates often include fixes for minor bugs, improved battery efficiency, and smoother day-to-day operation. Those hoping for new watch faces, health features, or interface changes, meanwhile, may have to wait a few more months for a bigger update.
Nonetheless, the US rollout is a good sign that Samsung is preparing a broader global release. Other Galaxy smartwatch models, including the Galaxy Watch 6 series, may also receive a similar update in the near future. Users can check for the update through the Galaxy Wearable app on their connected smartphone.
