Samsung has released new updates for its Phone and Gallery apps. These are relatively minor updates with bug fixes and stability improvements. Neither app is receiving new features but you should still update the apps for a smoother and more reliable experience. The new versions are gradually rolling out via the Galaxy Store.
Samsung Phone and Gallery apps updated to fix bugs
Samsung regularly updates its first-party apps for Galaxy devices, ensuring a bug-free experience for users. The latest routine update recently hit the Phone and Gallery apps. The former is picking up version 15.2.80, while the latter jumps to version 15.5.00.42. Both apps are receiving stability patches to fix bugs and other performance issues.
The updates may not bring massive changes to their functionality or user experience. However, the new versions should optimize the overall functioning of the apps. Samsung Phone and Samsung Gallery should work more reliably than before, ensuring a smooth experience. You should update both apps on your Galaxy phone or tablet as soon as possible.
As of this writing, the latest updates for the Phone and Gallery apps aren’t available widely on the Galaxy Store. Samsung is gradually expanding the new versions to more Galaxy users. You can check for updates manually by going to the Menu tab in the Galaxy Store and selecting Updates. You can also search for the apps using the search button in the top right corner.
If the updates aren’t available, wait a few days and check again. Alternatively, you can sideload the APK files. While we wouldn’t recommend sideloading unless necessary, this is often the fastest way to get the latest versions. If you are familiar with the risks of sideloading apps from third-party stores, you can download the apps from the APKMirror links below.
