While several older Galaxy devices are still waiting for the One UI 7 update, Samsung has already launched the One UI 8 beta program. You might now be wondering if you are eligible for the beta program. Like the previous rollout, the Korean firm has limited beta availability to select countries and specific devices. In this article, we have shared the full list of eligible countries, so keep reading.

This year, Samsung has skipped One UI 7.1 and One UI 7.1.1, and jumped directly from the Android 15-based One UI 7 to the Android 16-based One UI 8. It looks like Samsung wants to make its Galaxy users happy by opening the One UI 8 beta program early, especially after frustrating them with the delayed rollout of One UI 7. Unfortunately, not all Galaxy users can join the One UI 8 beta program, as it is only available for select models in specific countries.

Here’s the list of countries eligible for the One UI 8 beta program

Samsung sells its Galaxy devices globally across several countries. However, when it comes to the beta program, the company makes it available only in a select few regions. Last year, Samsung allowed users from seven countries to join the beta program: South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, India, China, and Poland. This year, we see that three of those countries — India, China, and Poland — have been excluded from the list. However, given that One UI 8 beta community pages are already live in India and Poland, these two countries may join the list in the coming weeks.

  • South Korea
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

Suppose you own a beta-eligible device, such as the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra, and are from an eligible country. In that case, you should see a banner regarding the beta program in the Samsung Members app. Simply complete the registration process, then go to Settings > Software update > Download and install.

While the beta program offers an opportunity to try the software before its stable release, these builds often come with bugs, so proceed with caution. We will let you know when Samsung adds more countries for the One UI 8 beta program. Stay tuned.
