Samsung’s AI-focused One UI 7 update may need more time in the oven. According to the Korean media, the company is still conducting internal testing to enhance its stability and performance. It recently revealed that the public beta rollout will begin before the end of 2024 but didn’t specify a precise timeline.
One UI 7 development is in full swing as Galaxy users wait for the beta release
Samsung has ambitious plans for One UI 7 to deliver a smooth, fluid software experience for Galaxy users. Based on Android 15, the upcoming update will bring significant visual upgrades and functional enhancements. It will also introduce advanced AI tools and additional features designed to improve the overall daily experience of Galaxy phones.
However, the extensive changes and upgrades have significantly delayed its release. While Samsung was initially expected to roll out the stable One UI 7 version in October, the update isn’t ready for public beta testing yet. At its annual developer conference (SDC) last week, the firm finally announced that the public beta would begin later this year.
The Korean behemoth didn’t provide a specific launch timeline, but industry insiders claimed the first beta version will arrive in December. While some hoped to get it a little early, it appears an earlier release on One UI 7 beta isn’t on the cards. Samsung is still testing its “biggest” update internally to improve its reliability, stability, and security, ETNews reports.
You’ll have to wait longer for the stable One UI 7 version. Samsung plans to debut it with the Galaxy S25 series nearly 2025. Other models will receive the update following the next flagship launch. Compared to the One UI 6 rollout last year, the new version is delayed by at least three months. Hopefully, Samsung will make the long wait worthwhile for Galaxy users.
