Samsung Galaxy S24 Fe Teardown Shows off a Bigger Vapor Chamber

by | Sep 30, 2024 | Galaxy S, News

Samsung’s most affordable model in the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy S24 FE, a few days ago. The phone is currently available to pre-order and will go on open sale from October 3. Ahead of the handset’s sale date, a teardown video of the Galaxy S24 FE has surfaced online. The popular teardown YouTube channel PBKreviews has managed to acquire the device and has disassembled it. Notably, the Galaxy S24 FE’s teardown shows off all the internals of the latest Galaxy S series offering.

Galaxy S24 FE’s teardown video shows a large vapor chamber

The teardown video of the Galaxy S24 FE shows off a larger vapor chamber. The bigger cooling chamber should help keep the temperature down while delivering maximum performance during long gaming sessions. The new vapor chamber is “1.1x larger” than the one on the phone’s predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE. While it means a tiny 10 percent bump, combined with the new Exynos 2400e the new phone delivers much better heat dissipation.

The teardown suggests the S24 FE’s thin glass backplate can be easily unglued from the frame by applying some heat. Once the glass backplate is removed, the internal components layout is visible, which is quite similar to the S23 FE. Removing some screws and components allows the new battery to come out of the frame. The phone has a 4,700mAh 17.72Wh battery, which is the largest Samsung has ever fit on a FE series device.

Galaxy S24 FE is fairly easy to repair

Furthermore, the teardown shows the Galaxy S24 FE has a modular internal architecture. The YouTuber notes that the internal components of the handset are neatly arranged. Also, the device is fairly easy to repair. The source has given Samsung’s newest Galaxy S series phone a repairability score of 8.5/10.

It is a good result in modern times. Notably, it is the same score that the channel gave the Galaxy S23 FE. This is due to minor concerns with the ease of screen replacement, sourcing parts, and the overall design. That said, Samsung will support the Galaxy S24 FE for at least seven years, which includes the availability of spare parts.

If you are interested in purchasing the Galaxy S24 FE, then here are the details on how to purchase the handset. It is worth mentioning that we are offering gifts if you purchase the Galaxy S24 FE using this link. Make sure to verify your purchase by filling out this form to get your gifts shipped.
