Good Lock is a hidden gem, it makes owning a Samsung Galaxy phone a real treat. The downloadable suite of apps, developed by Samsung themselves, brings countless customization options. For years, users around the globe have lamented that this software remains region-locked. Over the past year, there have been quite a few rumors that Samsung may finally bring Good Lock to all countries. We even saw evidence of Good Lock appearing for download in the Play Store in beta form. Now, the company has confirmed their plans to take Good Lock 2025 global with One UI 7.0.
A user on the One UI subreddit posted an screenshot from the official Samsung Community forums, confirming the good news. The moderator, in charge of Good Lock development, mentions that Good Lock will not only come to all countries, but will be available to download on the Google Play Store as well. This is fantastic news for users who have long been locked out of these amazing options on their Galaxy phones.
Good Lock 2025 Development Timeline Revealed
In addition to the new global availability, the post sheds some light on the schedule for Good Lock 2025 (the version compatible with One UI 7.0 stable release). The moderator comments that 15 total Good Lock Modules will be available for use during the One UI 7.0 beta trial period. Indeed, many of these apps already received official One UI 7 support in December 2024. The post does carefully point out that both Home Up and Lockstar may be late to receive stable One UI 7 support. These modules are undergoing major renovations and require more internal testing. We saw a leaked version of the new Home Up module back in October 2024. It has several innovative new features to improve animations.
Good Lock 2025 going global is undoubtedly great news for all Galaxy fans. Hopefully, this move will encourage Samsung to also open up all Good Lock modules to all countries. Many modules, such as Galaxy To Share, are only supported in South Korea at this time. Let us know if you’re excited about these changes, we sure are!
