A couple of months back, Samsung launched a revolutionary health-monitoring gadget, the Galaxy Ring. The tiny tech piece that you wear on your finger offers extensive health features. However, the company didn’t release it globally. It’s now gradually expanding its availability, with the ring recently arriving in Brazil. More markets may get the Galaxy Ring soon.
Samsung brings the Galaxy Ring to Brazil
The Galaxy Ring debuted alongside the Galaxy Watch 7, Watch Ultra, and the latest foldables on July 10 at Samsung’s Unpacked event in Paris. The company started selling these devices two weeks later, on July 24 (pre-orders were open immediately after launch). While most of the devices were released globally, the new ring saw a limited release.
It appears Samsung is now ready to bring it to more markets. The company recently opened pre-orders for the Galaxy Ring in Brazil. The pre-order period runs a whole month, till October 18. General sales begin after that, with the company selling it through online and offline channels. The ring costs R$3,499 (approx. $645) in the South American country.
It’s a substantially higher price tag compared to the US pricing of $399, but electronics usually cost more in Brazil. Samsung is offering the Galaxy Ring in the same three colors (Titanium Black, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Gold) and sizes (US sizes 5 to 13) in Brazil as the rest of the world. If you don’t know your ring size, you can request a sizing kit.
The sizing kit includes all nine sizes. You should try the dummy rings on your index finger — it appears to work better on the index finger than the ring finger. You can then order the size that best fits you. The Galaxy Ring offers a long battery life and is quite comfortable to wear. It is designed for 24/7 wear, so you get comprehensive, continuous health monitoring.
UPDATE 09/20/24: After Brazil, Samsung has announced Galaxy Ring pre-orders in Mexico. Interested buyers can pre-order up to October 2 to get an MXN 1,000 discount coupon. General sales begin on October 3. The company hasn’t unveiled the Mexican price for the Galaxy Ring.
