Samsung Confirms One UI 7 Stable Update is Coming Soon

by | Jan 21, 2025 | News, One UI

At SDC 2024, Samsung announced plans to release the stable One UI 7 update with the new Galaxy flagships, i.e., the Galaxy S25 series. Now, days before the launch on January 22, the company is back with a reconfirmation of plans. In a Newsroom post highlighting a successful beta campaign, Samsung said the “official version” of One UI 7 is “coming soon.”

Samsung celebrates One UI 7 beta success ahead of the stable update

Samsung launched One UI 7 beta programs for the Galaxy S24 series in early December last year. The beta update version was rolled out to interested users in India, China, Poland, South Korea, Germany, the UK, and the US. The company didn’t expand the program to other devices, nor did it bring it to more markets.

Over the past one-and-a-half month, Samsung rolled out three One UI 7 beta updates for the Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra. The Korean firm says the latest beta program progressed “twice as fast as” One UI 6 beta in 2023. It highlighted how participants loved the UI redesign that enhances the ease of use for Galaxy users.

Additionally, beta participants appreciated Samsung’s efforts to bring convenience features like Now Bar, which offers quick access to many active apps and live information feeds from apps. Galaxy AI improvements, particularly the new Writing Assist tool, also attracted attention. Above all, the beta builds have been incredibly stable and polished since the first day.

We at SammyGuru have been using One UI 7 beta on our Galaxy S24 phones for several weeks now, and we haven’t encountered any major bugs. While there are a few minor issues, Samsung deserves credit for stabilizing the platform to a great extent before a public rollout. It took its sweet time but delivered an enjoyable beta experience.

The most recent One UI 7 beta update also has some quirky flaws. However, Samsung must have addressed those in the stable build, which debuts on the Galaxy S25 series this Wednesday. The company will then bring the new version to other models, starting with the Galaxy S24 series. We will keep you updated as One UI 7 is rolled out to more devices.
