Samsungโs One UI 7.0 couldnโt have been delayed any further. A few days ago, tipster Tarun Vats shared that One UI 7.0 beta 4 might roll out to the Galaxy S24 series on February 17 (today). However, it seems thatโs not happening, and weโre facing yet another delay. At a time when Samsung should be rolling out the One UI 7.0 stable version, it continues to delay the beta updates. But here we are. Keep in mind, Samsung never announced Beta 4 for February 17 themselves. This was the project internal launch date based on leaks.
One UI 7.0 beta 4 delay is more than just bad news
There are already reports suggesting that Samsung plans a fifth and sixth beta round for One UI 7.0. However, another tipster claims that if One UI 7.0 beta 4 proves stable enough, it could mark the end of the beta rounds. And we might see the stable version of One UI 7.0 roll out to eligible devices as early as March. But with the fourth round of One UI 7.0 beta facing more delays, the timeline for the stable release could be affected as well. Worse, this could also push back the release of One UI 7.1, meaning we might face even more delays.
According to Vats, the next One UI 7.0 beta could carry the ZYB6 or ZYB8 build. When the fourth round does begin rolling out, itโs expected to first go live in the U.S. and Korea. After that, it will expand to other eligible regions. Additionally, it could bring the Galaxy S25โs โBest Faceโ feature to the Galaxy S24 series.
Samsung might try to compensate for all these delays with an early rollout of One UI 8.0, as tipped. Android 16-based One UI 8.0 is already in development. Frankly, itโs too early to predict when it will be released since One UI 7 has yet to even roll out. However, there are a few reasons why Samsung could release One UI 8.0 earlier than expected. One of which is Googleโs faster development of the Android 16 update.
