Revive Your Old Bands with these Galaxy Watch Ultra Adapters

by | Jul 29, 2024 | Galaxy Watch, News

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is Samsung’s first-ever Ultra watch and has several specialties over the rest of the lineup. It is a powerhouse of a smartwatch. However, its unique design means your existing wristbands from the Galaxy Watch 6 or older models aren’t compatible. This can be frustrating for longtime Samsung watch users, particularly those who have amassed a collection of stylish bands over the years. Thankfully, someone made band adapters to solve the problem.

Galaxy Watch Ultra band adapters let you use old straps

The Ultra smartwatch from Samsung has a new band attachment system that doesn’t support older bands. However, these third-party adapters fix the issue by offering two-way connectors. On one side, the adapter has connectors that perfectly fit the Galaxy Watch Ultra’s band attachment. On the other side, it offers the traditional lug where you can attach your existing band. A Reddit thread has several people confirming that the adapters work fine for their old straps.

Available on Amazon for just $6.99 for two pairs, these adapters will let you use any existing 22mm Galaxy Watch band with your Galaxy Watch Ultra. They are made of stainless steel with a matte finish and come in Black, Silver, and Rose Gold colors. The metallic pieces look premium, complimenting the watch’s premium design. Ali Express also has 20mm and 24mm variants of the same adapters. They don’t seem to have arrived on Amazon yet. Maybe we will see them soon.

If you plan to buy the Galaxy Watch Ultra and have some old Galaxy Watch bands lying in the drawer, you might also want to purchase these adapters. Just make sure to pick the right version for your band (20mm, 22mm, or 24mm). The new Samsung smartwatch is available in a 47mm variant and costs $649.99, though Samsung offers up to $350 off with instant trade-in credit. The hefty price tag gives you a big battery, robust build quality, and powerful internals.
