Samsung’s highly anticipated slim flagship, the Galaxy S25 Edge, has been delayed. Initially expected for an April 15 release, it may now debut in May or June, according to recent reports. This postponement is allegedly a strategic consideration within Samsung’s management. Amidst the delay, a retailer briefly listed the phone on its website, inadvertently disclosing key details before promptly removing the information.
Galaxy S25 Edge appears on a retailer’s site ahead of time
Just when reports of a delayed launch started surfacing, Vietnamese retailer MWG listed the Galaxy S25 Edge on its website. The retailer has since withdrawn this premature listing, but not before leaker @chunvn8888 grabbed a few screenshots. The images posted on X confirm that the device will be available with 12GB RAM, paired with 256GB and 512GB storage options.
The now-deleted listing also confirmed the phone’s colorways: silver, black, and blue. It lacked prices, likely because the retailer planned to add those details at launch. However, now that Samsung has delayed the Galaxy S25 Edge’s launch, MWG has pulled those listings.
The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to feature a sleek design with a thickness of just 5.84mm. Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite processor powers the phone, with Samsung opting for the same overclocked version also found inside the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The Edge also borrows the Ultra’s 200MP primary camera and titanium frame, paired with a ceramic back panel. However, it may lack a zoom camera.
Even with a delayed release, the Galaxy S25 Edge may not be available globally. Samsung may sell it in select strategic markets where it sees a good opportunity. The company has yet to officially confirm the revised launch timeline. We will keep a close eye and let you know as soon as there’s an official announcement regarding the Galaxy S25 Edge’s availability and pricing.
