More than a week ago, Samsung started rolling out the March 2025 Security Update for the Galaxy S23 series. More recently, Samsung expanding the latest security update to the Galaxy S23 FE, too, that was left out in initial rollout. But it seems that the March 2025 Security Update isnโt playing nicely for the Galaxy S23 users.
Galaxy S23 users reporting green or pink line issue after updating to latest security update
As shared by Tarun Vats, several Galaxy S23 users have shared that the March update has resulted in either green or pink line issues. Some are even reporting encountering both green and pink lines on their units. Seemingly, the green or pink line issue has been affecting units for quite a while. Even those who updated to the February 2025 Security Update reported the issue.
Galaxy S23 Users, Beware! ๐จ
After latest March update, some users are seeing green/pink lines appearing on their screens.
Looks like a patternโthe S22 had this issue last year, and S21 the year before. Now itโs S23โs turn?
Samsung, what is going on? This is disappointing. pic.twitter.com/kBjlZ0EF6H

Samsung has previously run one-time free screen replacements for other models plagued with the green line issue. But for now, Samsung hasnโt announced anything like that. Neither does Samsung seem aware of the issue to our knowledge.
Itโs concerning that users are continuing to experience these display issues across multiple software updates. Given that this isnโt an isolated case and has affected users even in previous updates, Samsung should ideally acknowledge the problem and provide a concrete solution.
In the past, similar display issues have been reported on other Samsung flagships, prompting the company to offer free screen replacements in certain regions. If the problem continues to spread, Samsung may be forced to take similar action for the Galaxy S23 series. However, without official confirmation, thereโs no way to know if or when that might happen.
Thatโs why we strongly recommend against rushing to update your Galaxy S23 device to the latest security update. Such things donโt affect every device, but yours could be one of those that get plagued. So the best thing would be holding off the updates. Rest assured, whatever happens, weโll keep you in the loop.
