Samsung has officially wrapped up the One UI 8 rollout for all eligible Galaxy devices. The company has now released the Android 16-based update for the last remaining model, the Galaxy Tab A9+. This clears the path for One UI 8.5 beta, which is expected next month.

Samsung releases the One UI 8 update for Galaxy Tab A9+

The Galaxy Tab A9+ is the final device to get the One UI 8 software. Samsung has started rollout in Europe, where the Wi-Fi variant is getting the build version X210RXXU4BYKG. The LTE model has not yet received the update, but it should go live soon. Its smaller sibling, the Galaxy Tab A9, has already been updated. Both models should receive One UI 8 globally in the coming days.

This update brings new changes like updated clock styles, a redesigned Weather app, and a refreshed Quick Share layout. One UI 8 also includes a new 90:10 split-screen ratio and smoother animations. Additionally, it offers better stability and an overall cleaner experience across the system. With the Tab A9+ now receiving the update, the One UI 8 rollout officially comes to an end.

Meanwhile, Samsung seems to be shifting its focus to One UI 8.5. A beta build for the Galaxy S25 series was spotted on test servers in multiple regions. This indicates that the One UI 8.5 beta program may begin soon. The Galaxy Tab A9+ is also expected to be part of the One UI 8.5 eligible devices next year, although Samsung has not confirmed it yet.

Nonetheless, if you own a Galaxy Tab A9+ Wi-Fi in Europe, you can check for the One UI 8 update by heading to Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once the download completes, tap Install now, and your tablet will reboot with the new version. Stick around for confirmation on One UI 8.5.
